IT ALL STARTED WITH WELLIE DANCING & FLIPPING BEER MATTS
...well, technically it all started with a lot of free booze AT Friday work drinks and some outrageous myers briggs flirting
...then the wellie dancing and beer mat flipping happened and we realised that we'd each found our partner in crime. Since then we've lived in separate countries, discovered a love for sweet wines, set up our first home together, become god parents, travelled to far flung places, learnt to drive, wreck dive and have hiked all over. We've had so many adventures but this is sure to be our biggest and best yet so we’re super excited to be celebrating with you!
WHEN AND WHERE
SATURDAY 25th AUGUST 2018, 1PM – ST MARY'S CHURCH, DILWYN, HEREFORDSHIRE, HR4 8HR
St Mary's isn't just a lovely village church, it's also where Fenn's Grandparents and Parents were married. So when Fenn proposed, we knew exactly where we wanted to tie the knot.
For those wanting to get the celebrations underway early, the Crown Inn is just a one minute walk away, and does a mean pint of Butty (well worth trying if you're new to the area).
WHERE'S THE PARTY?
BRAMLEY, STOCKINGFIELD, DILWYN, HEREFORDSHIRE, HR4 8JG
To kick off married life, we'll be celebrating in the top field at the Fenn's farm, just a mile from the church, with drinks, dinner and dancing until the early hours. It's worth noting the bar will be cash only.
Evening guests will be arriving from 7pm.
Keen campers? Don't want to spend money on a taxi? Accommodation too far away because we chose to get married in the middle of nowhere? How about Glamping? Join us (yes, we’ll be camping) in the field next to the wedding reception.
The tents provided are top of the range, 100% canvas, fully waterproof and with heavy duty groundsheets, so you’ll be nice and comfy no matter the weather. Toilets and hot showers will be available to use all weekend too.
The standard set up includes a 4m wide bell tent, with either a double or two single luxury double-height air beds. Provided with all bedding, linen, rugs, side tables, and lanterns, as well as outdoor solar lights so you can find your tent in the dark. They also come with hot water bottles but let’s hope we won’t be needing those in August!
Each 2 person tent is £200 for the 3-night Bank Holiday weekend (Friday-Monday). There's also the option to:
- Upgrade from a double height inflatable mattress to a memory foam mattress.
- Add up to 2 additional beds (max 4 people per tent).
B&Bs AND HOTELS
If you don't fancy sleeping in a field, there's a few nice BnB's in Dilwyn and the surrounding villages, but the options are limited so we'd advise booking your accommodation early. Hereford has a wider variety of accommodation options but is further away (approx. 10 miles from the venue).
ARE THE KIDS INVITED?
There are 46 children between you fertile bunch! 49 by August! To invite each of them would mean 50% of the guests would be under the age of 10 so unfortunately we're having to stick with immediate family and Godchildren only. However, if this is going to make your attendance impossible, please let us know.
As the wedding will be set in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside, sadly, hailing an Uber won't be an option, so we strongly advise you pre-book your evening transport. We'd recommend finding a taxi company close to your chosen BnB through the power of Google.
Everyone knows we love our travels and we couldn't think of a better way to spend our time together as the newly wed Mr & Mrs Fenn than being able to explore a little more of the world. So, if you'd like to help kick off our married life, a boost to the honeymoon fund would be awesome. We're in the process of getting a honeymoon fund page set up, so watch this space!
